Our mission: to create and provide equitable access to real estate.

What We Do

In addition to pursuing in-house accessibility projects, we offer advisory consulting for businesses that want to be leaders in inclusion and accessibility. This is achieved through making their spaces more easily accessible and usable to a broader client base beyond just wheelchair access. We do this by identifying areas that could feasibly be improved within three categories: movement, function, and structure.

Level 1 (Movement)

Low cost and time commitment for improvements
examples: object type & placement, interior signage, etc.

Level 2 (Function)*

Moderate cost and time commitment for improvements - may require contractor
examples: door handles, faucets, ramps, etc.
*Also includes Level 1 identification

Level 3 (Structure)**

Significant cost and time commitment for improvements - will require contractor
examples: layout, openness, larger access projects, etc.
**Also includes Level 1 & Level 2 identification

Our Story

Teal Phoenix’s co-founder and CEO, Skyler Ramsey, has six years experience in the accessibility industry and extensive volunteer work training service dogs through a local non-profit. Having a service dog in training by their side 24/7, Skyler was able to experience firsthand some of the barriers within real estate that people with limited mobility face daily. This inspired them to pursue real estate and entrepreneurship with the goal of being the change they wanted to see.
“From a very young age, I’ve been aware of barriers that exist within real estate. I’ve seen family members who use wheelchairs not able to attend events because of locations having stair-only entrances. I want to shift the perception of what it means to be ‘accessible’ and lead the change in removing barriers to access and use within real estate for everyone.”
